Sub Aqua Club
Wombwell branch of BSAC (British Sub-Aqua Club)
The club is based at the Public swimming baths in Wombwell, Barnsley. We meet every Monday night at 8.30pm to 9.30pm, then for the adults, we reconvene in the Wetherspoons pub on the main high street – a short walk away, to talk about and plan the following weeks diving and or training.
We pride ourselves on providing first class training. The club has 2 nationally qualified BSAC Advanced Instructors, 3 Open Water Instructors and 3 Assistant Instructors.
We provide all the equipment and tuition free of charge, so those joining just pay membership and pool fees.
Unlike Many popular diving organisations, we are a self sufficient voluntary club made up of members who, through membership fees and other fund raising projects, as well as a great deal of support from BSAC, participate in a great deal of diving through the year.
If you are interested in learning to scuba dive or are already qualified as a scuba diver we can help. We provide training from BSAC Ocean Diver (basic level) to BSAC Advanced Diver by fully qualified instructors in a safe and friendly environment.
