Who is the service for?
The service is available to anyone aged 60+ living in the Barnsley borough.

How much does it cost?
There is no charge for labour, only for materials used.

What type of jobs do we do?
•FREE Home Safety check which can help to highlight potential problems such as fire risks, trip hazards & security issues.
•Supply & fit free 10 year smoke alarms
•Fit door chains and viewers.
•Secure trailing wires.
•Fit shelves and curtain rails.
•Repairs to cupboards, drawers/doors
•Minor electrical work e.g. fitting new plugs/fuses, replacing light bulbs.
•Minor plumbing repairs e.g. unblocking sinks, changing tap washers, adjusting ball cocks.
What types of jobs we cannot do?
•Repairs to electrical equipment or anything under guarantee.
•Fitting of, or repairs to central heating.
•Any gas work
•Furniture removal.
•Gardening and decorating.
•Plastering.
